CHALLENGE: The Riecken
Foundation is a small organization with very ambitious community
library projects in Guatemala and Honduras. The Foundation approached
Jenn French Designs with only pre-established logo and some amateur
photographs of their project sites. They needed collateral that
captured the breadth of their projects in a sophisticated manner
in order to attract venture capitalists and other investors, while
maintaining the community-centered nature of their mission.
SOLUTION: Working from the pre-established
Riecken Foundation logo, Jenn French Designs created a complementary, vibrant
color palette that also captured the colors common in Guatemalan
and Honduran communities. Typography standards were established,
while the heart-warming photographs taken at the Riecken project
sites became the visual core of the new brand. Guidelines for the
presentation of the logo and all identity and collateral improved
brand recognition and ensured consistent application across all
mediums. It also helped Riecken attract funding for future projects.
